A new building needs more than wire and devices. It needs an electrical system coordinated with the plans, service requirements, framing, mechanical equipment, lighting package, technology pathways and construction schedule. CMF evaluates the whole awarded scope before work begins so the proposal can identify what is included, what must be clarified and what decisions still belong to the owner or builder.
We pursue new-construction electrical work for single-family homes, duplexes, multifamily properties, residential developments and commercial buildings. Depending on the contracting strategy, CMF can evaluate a full electrical package or a clearly defined portion of the work. Final scope, pricing, schedule, warranty and credential requirements are documented in the written proposal and agreement.
Electrical scope
Service equipment, meter equipment, panels, feeders, grounding and load coordination based on the project documents.
Branch circuits, boxes, raceways and pathways coordinated with framing and adjacent building systems.
Devices, fixtures, controls, trim-out, testing, punch work and closeout within the awarded scope.
EV-ready circuits, adaptable capacity, smart-home pathways and other owner-selected infrastructure.
Project types
For a custom home or duplex, early electrical planning helps organize service size, receptacle and lighting layouts, appliance loads, exterior power and future additions. Sending the plan set and finish expectations early gives CMF a stronger basis for scope and pricing.
Repeatable unit layouts still require attention to common areas, service distribution, site conditions, phasing and change control. CMF reviews how the electrical package repeats, where it does not and how the work must align with the builder’s production schedule.
Commercial opportunities are evaluated against drawings, specifications, equipment requirements, project milestones and the intended contract structure. Send bid instructions and alternates with the plans so the response can match the package being awarded.

Whole-house wiring
A residential new-construction electrician should be able to explain how the service, distribution equipment, branch wiring and finished devices connect to the rest of the build. CMF reviews the whole-house electrical wiring package against the architectural layout, electrical drawings and equipment information so important responsibilities are not hidden between generic allowances.
The review can address service size, meter and panel locations, grounding, required circuits, kitchen and appliance loads, heating and mechanical connections, lighting controls, smoke and carbon-monoxide devices, exterior power, garage requirements and owner-selected options. Custom-home electrical work may also include EV readiness, generator preparation, smart-home pathways or additional capacity when those items are defined in the awarded scope.
Illustrative website images communicate the type of work being discussed. The real project documents—not the image—control the estimate and contract.
Electrical construction sequence
The exact sequence changes by project, but these checkpoints help a builder or homeowner understand what drives a complete electrical bid.
Confirm drawings, service requirements, fixture information, owner options, alternates and unresolved design decisions.
Coordinate utility, equipment locations, procurement, site access and the milestones needed before rough-in begins.
Install the awarded boxes, pathways, branch wiring, feeders and grounding work in coordination with framing and adjacent trades.
Return after finishes are ready for devices, lighting, controls, equipment connections and owner-selected components.
Address testing, punch items, required documentation and the final responsibilities stated in the agreement.

A clearer bid
For the most useful review, send the project address, architectural and electrical drawings, specifications, building type, square footage, target start, bid deadline and any required alternates. If the design is still developing, say which decisions are unresolved. CMF can then distinguish a planning conversation from a final construction proposal.
CMF’s primary service area is approximately 100 miles from Eau Claire. Projects elsewhere in Wisconsin are considered when the anticipated contract value is above $50,000. Availability always depends on scope, schedule, travel, project fit and the credential requirements applicable to the work.
